now at eight: the day care teacher. the children entrusted to her care. what she put in their sippy cups could send her to prison. a morgan hill teacher is accused of drugging toddlers in order to get them to go to sleep. kron 4's alecia reid has details on the 10 misdemeanor charges. >> reporter: after 6 years of working at the kiddie academy, deborah gratz is being accused of drugging toddlers at the school with sleeping pills. she supervised about 10 toddlers between ages 1 and 2 during naptime. police say two weeks ago a colleague spotted her putting sominex, an adult sleeping pill, in the children's sippy cups. the water cups were taken away before the toddlers got to thempolice say residue was found in 5 of the cups. she's now being charged with 5 counts of attempted child endangerment and 5 counts of assault. the deputy district attorney says these misdemeanors carry a maximum of 2 years in jail. gratz is currently out on supervised release. she is due in court next tuesday. in the newsroom alecia reid kron 4 news.

revealed christopher boone lacy was a mentally troubled gun advocate. among the other investigators findings: in 1997.lacy suffered a mental breakdown while in college and was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. a suicide note was found in his home that investigators believe he wrote in college during his break-down. in 2010, he legally bought the gun used to kill officer youngstrom. his computer revealed an intense interest in libretarianism and the soverign citizen movement. in 2011, his family says he became a loner and lived in a trailer. officials say there is still no clear indication why he shot and killed officer youngstrom. right now -- police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in livermore. there's a surveillance photo of the a citi-bank on portola avenue. police say the man demanded money from a teller. it's unclear if the suspect

had a gun and how much money he took. he's described as white -- 25 to 30 years old - with a heavy build and weighing up to 250 pounds. in less than a week -- cash will be a thing of the past at the golden gate bridge. wednesday -- all electronic tolling goes into effect. toll takers will be a thing of the past. new at eight, we talked to a woman who has been collecting tolls for 22 years and is getting ready to work her last shift. there were 28 toll takers

a news study says children might be eating a lot more salt than parents realize. more than 11-hundred prepackaged snacks or meals targeted to toddlers and babies were studied. more than 75-percent of the toddler meals had more sodium than recommended levels. there's evidence that a child's salt intake is related to the likelihood of developing hypertension later in life. a pediatricians' group has come out in support of same sex marriage. saying there are health benefits for children of same sex couples -- when those couples are married.

crosswalk another no no then still runs the light in the crosswalk followed by riding against traffic and finally riding on the sidewalk it wasn't hard to find people riding their bikes in the crosswalk where they should dismount and walk now i personally would never think about running the red light on any street but on busy california yup it happened it was this guy he is half way into the intersection and waits and while the light is still red there he goes it is interesting bike behaviour on polk street and yes there were drivers behaving badly too but i want to look exclusively at bicylist today one thing i noticed when ever there was a cop present not one bicylist ran the red light do they know it's wrong they choose to do it and that is bad behaviour oh and to the city of san francisco, you might want to consider updating the signs to reflect the updated

this is an example of an a- t-m skimmer. the one on the bottom is the fake. the one on top is the real card reader. tough to tell the difference between the two. and, the hillsborough police department says it doesn't take long to set a skimmer up. in some case, captain doug davis says the theives can snap a skimmer onto an a-t-m in a few minutes. which may have been the case at this burlingame u-s bank a-t-m on burlingame avenue. so, by the time you the customer, approach the a-t- m. you are already a victim. once you've pulled out your card and insert it into the machine. the skimmer will then read all of your information. so, yes, you walk away with your money. but the theives walk away with all of your
